The East London Industrial Development Zone SOC Ltd (ELIDZ) proudly maintains its exceptional record, securing yet another unqualified audit opinion for the 2022-23 financial year from the Auditor General of South Africa. This outstanding achievement marks the eighth consecutive year of attaining a clean audit status, which is a testament to the ELIDZ’s commitment to transparent financial practices and effective governance.

Throughout this period, the ELIDZ consistently avoided significant findings in its annual financial statements, performance management results, and legislative compliance matters. This achievement also reflects the ELIDZ’s commitment to zero irregular, unauthorised, fruitless, and wasteful expenditure.

In celebrating this remarkable milestone, Prof Mlungisi Makalima, Chairperson of the Board, extended heartfelt congratulations to Executive Management and the entire ELIDZ team.
