Funding assistance for investment
A range of investment incentives and assistance opportunities exist for qualifying investors. As part of the South African government’s drive to boost economic growth, a number of investment incentives have been initiated.
There are also financial agencies that support regional economic development. The Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) is the economic development agency in the Eastern Cape.
ECDC's primary objective is to facilitate and support private sector development in the Eastern Cape Province.
ECDC offers a range of professional services to achieve this through the:
- Expansion of existing business;
- Creation of existing business;
- Expansion of existing markets;
- Development of new markets; and
- Advocacy and lobbying for a conductive business environment in the province.
